M11x is a gaming netbook from Alienware

Gizmodo reports that Alienware is showing a new team, the M11x. The details are limited, but the article says that the computer is running a maximum of 11 inch screen and sold for under $ 1000.

Of course, the game apparently mentioned can handle 50 frames per second in Crysis, 30 frames per second for Call of Duty (top) and the pumps of a 3DMark (Vantage?) The score of 6 “-wide 7k . Battery life is said to be 6.5 hours for standard use or two hours of intense play.

That’s all the details yet, but I’m sure much more information is on the road.

Update: Further information is coming at times. Engadget reports that the M11x has Nvidia graphics GT335M switchable. This is what allows the possibility of playing Crysis, but then consider switching to a battery mode.

Update 2: Here is a picture through techmama Twitter user. M11x users Stealth design language, the same is in the m15x and m17x. Maintain backlit keyboard and other design features full-size systems. It looks big enough for a 11.6-inch system, you can see the size of the bezel and depth of palmrests. This is a strange beast.

Update 3: Dell press release just landed. Here have been clips of her options:

M11x product page is woefully lacking in detail, but we have some more pictures (see below). Of these, we can see that the lid is a little different than M17x/M15x, and uses a design that looks a bit like a simplified version of the older Alienware Skullcap. On the design front grille and angular Alienware muscle-car-meets-Stealth Bomber-style have been maintained.

As for ports, see VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, Firewire, what looks like a card reader, three USB ports, two headphone jacks and a microphone. One USB port can double as an eSATA port, but it’s hard to say.

This netbook size (well, will be bigger than any other netbook) and less than $ 1000. It sounds like we may get some traction.
