We have been informed of how Wii Sports and Wii activities are not simply a very good exercise.

However, a recent research project of the American Stroke Association International Stroke Conference 2010 suggests that playing these virtual reality games could help stroke victims improve their motor function.

This study is based on 20 stroke survivors, and both groups engaged in eight sessions of one hour two-week period approximately two months after suffering a stroke. Those who played Wii Tennis and Wii Cooking Mama proved “important” engine “improved speed and extent of recovery.”

According to Gustavo Saposnik, the race director of outcomes research at the Unit of Li Ka Shing Institute at the Hospital de San Miguel, this is the first randomized trial showing that Wii gaming technology can produce stroke rehabilitation effective.

In all honesty, this reminds me of a recent episode of The Simpsons. In this episode, there was a plot involving B Lisa Simpson giving his grandfather and a rest home game system Zii. Yes, it is clear that Zii is satirizing, and ZiiSports game was enough for all citizens over the nursing home on her feet again. Too bad that nurses do not feel the same way.

However, the prospect of Wii helps stroke victims are interesting enough to pursue further studies.
