The Nook sold more than 60,000 units in 2009

Despite encouraging comments than when he first arrived, it seems that Barnes and Noble e-Reader, the corner, enjoy better than expected sales in 2009, to the delight of B & N. Not so much to the delight of some consumers, however.
When announcing the corner again in late October this year, Barnes and Nobles had apparently made the mistake of telling his device manufacturer, Foxconn, to produce the device units less than what is expected to sell. What was soon to follow are the lack of device, a ship date back from late November to early December, and some consumers who are awaiting their preordained places (and get a nice gift card because it). Despite tight supplies, however, TechCrunch reports that B & N has sold over 60,000 units this year, which is good news for top U.S. bookseller.
Supply problems next year and should not be a problem for the corner of B & N has asked Foxconn guide production for 2010 and expects to sell 500,000 units in the first three months of the year alone. So if you’ve been waiting to buy a corner and have had little luck finding one, you should have an easier time locating online or in stores soon.
