Motorola CLIQ XT hands-on
We know that we’ve barely recovered from our consideration of devouring, but only gave another Moto Blur-phone market in our hands this afternoon – the XT CLIQ. We’ve been playing with 1.5 Flash Lite-based Android support multitouch-capable equipment for the last couple of hours – but before the grace with our first impressions, just a warning: not yet know the price of the new T-Mobile Android phone, but Motorola has promised to arrive in stores this month. That said, hit the break for a quick summary of our early thoughts.
* We’ve been getting with the right foot with the XT CLIQ. Although a bit thick – is a bit thinner than the droid – 0.28 pounds the phone actually feels lighter than we expected, and the rubber again feels good in hand. We judge all you want, but I think the purple back is a nice accessory included.
* While some may miss the physical keyboard, we’re really digging the virtual keyboard Swype preloaded – we have set as the default and has been very accurate in finding our text. We wish that had one. “Com” direct access, however.
* The touchpad is fine to click to maneuver through small menu, but we’ve been all touch screen, all the time.
* Speaking of multitouch function is all that dreaming, pinch to zoom is very sensitive in the newly improved photo gallery and in the browser.
* As for Flash Lite, we are able to see a YouTube video in the browser when it was changed to the “desk” in the version to avoid the launch of the YouTube application. Video was lag over 3G, but that is expected here in New York.
We would be remiss not to mention the 5 megapixel cam – we took some pictures of Nice so far with it, but it seems a bit slow to start
* The overall performance seems quite good, but it will not fly away. Toggling through the menu of Blur was agile and keep open four windows of the browser did not seem too slow down.

I think the Motorola Cliq sounds fabulous! Not only does it look good, but it should do everything that other smartphones do. Blackberry, Palm and even the iPhone are very much marketed and this one isn’t. I wish they would put it out on prepaid.
